QUANTIFY INNER ME
In the era of increasing interconnectedness to our devices and the rising “Humachine” (The Human Machine), we are to ask ourselves: what in the future will make us intrinsically human?
Today wearables measure biofeedback and collect data on the physical - how much we move, eat, sleep etc. In the future of the “Humachine”, ‘emotional surveillance’ will measure our inner world.
The subject uses movement and dance improvisation to depict emotions as a form of expression and emotional healing.
In “Quantify Inner Me” - The sensor based jewellery maps the range of emotions through visual processing and rendering of the emotional data biofeedback. Depicting the quantified inner self under surveillance.
Developed during a 2 day hackathon as part of the International Print Screen Festival in Holon, Israel.
The theme was “Noveillance” (NO//Surveillance) and the concept depicts the quantified inner self under surveillance.
Through a dance, the sensor based jewellery maps the range of emotions using visual processing and rendering of the emotional data biofeedback.
